The SaltWater Anglers of Texas was founded September 11th 2004. This club will be noted in educating membership in saltwater angling and boating safety through collaboration and education.
Making saltwater angling a more fertile sport by participating in fish and wildlife conservation, and to organize fishing contest for pleasure and fellowship among family members and friends.

To hundreds of fishermen on the Texas Gulf Coast this introduction is not necessary. We are already friends. I would like to tell you something about myself.

Having lived in Galveston County for over 50 years I can proudly call myself a Texan.

And since the summer of 1964 I have been a constant and enthusiastic Salt Water Fisherman. Being a rookie fisherman I was taught to have fun and to be patient in what Mother Nature dealt me. Sharing experiences with my father and others gave me the bits of knowledge that are parts of being a fisherman.

Fishing as a hobby has been good for me. It has repaid me in pleasure, relaxation, friends, and health and now with two of my cofounders we have organized the SaltWater Anglers of Texas fishing club. We fish for fun and pleasure and with little competition.
